I've always thought cats were these independent creatures that did whatever they wanted. But seeing that sleek, mini-panther walking alongside its human kinda blew my mind. Naturally, I had to dig into this whole leash training thing. Can you actually leash train a Bombay cat?
Turns out, you totally can! Here's what I found out:
But here's the thing... it's not always a walk in the park (pun totally intended). I tried leash training my own Bombay, Luna. Let me tell you, it was a bit of a rollercoaster.
At first, she looked at me like, "Uh, what is this contraption you're putting on me?" She did that classic flop-over-and-play-dead move. 😂 But with a bit of patience (and a lot of treats), she started to get the hang of it.

But is it worth it? For me, seeing Luna explore the backyard safely was totally awesome. She seemed more confident and engaged with her environment. Plus, it's kinda cool to be that person with a cat on a leash. 😎
So, can you leash train a Bombay cat? Yup! Is it a bit of an adventure? Absolutely. Will your cat look at you like you've lost your mind? Probably. But hey, what's life without a little excitement?
